Volunteers sought for Affordable Housing Advisory Committee

The City of Bradenton is seeking volunteers to serve as board members on its Affordable Housing Advisory Committee.
The committee is charged with providing public input into the development of affordable housing incentive strategies and helps the City develop its Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP) for the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) program.
Applicants should be:
• Actively engaged in the banking or mortgage banking industry in connection with affordable housing
• Actively engaged as a for-profit provider of affordable housing
• Representing employers within the jurisdiction
• Representing essential service personnel as defined in the City of Bradenton’s Local Housing Assistance Plan
However, the city welcomes all interested parties to submit an application for Committee membership.
The Committee meets at 9 a.m. on the first Wednesday of each month. All meetings are open to the public.
